Primary considerations-
| The Oberwerk Sport RP Series are hard to beat for compactness and ruggedness. The Mariner Series are also popular for their excellent image quality, at the expense of increased size and weight. Magnification is an important consideration- do you want a low-magnification binocular with a large FOV (field of view), or a high-magnification binocular that brings the target in very close, at the expense of less FOV? Choose a larger-objective (70mm or 80mm) binocular for best performance at dawn/dusk. |
