Oberwerk Tall Tripod Upgrade
The Oberwerk wood tripod is now available in an extra-tall size. Each leg section is 5 inches longer, which gives up to 10 inches of additional height at maxminum extension. Until now, using straight-through-view binoculars such as the 25/40x100 Long-Range Observation Binocular and the 100mm Binocular Telescope for astronomical viewing was difficult because the eyepieces drop so low when the binocular is pointed up at the night sky (note the standard tripod on the right side of the picture). But the Oberwerk Tall Tripod gets the binocular high enough overhead so that even a 6-foot-tall person can stand underneath the eyepieces.
The tall tripod, when equipped with our 3/8" stud adapter, is ideal for use with Bogen heads, again allowing enough height to use straight-through view binoculars for astronomy.
NOTE: The Oberwerk Tall Tripod Upgrade is not currently available with the Jarrah Hardwood Upgrade.
