Oberwerk 25/40x100mm Binoculars - Terrestrial Viewing
Here's an example of what you can expect to see with the Oberwerk 25/40x100mm binoculars. The Jamestown water tower was photographed (above) at a distance of exactly one mile. From this location, we observed the water tower with our giant binoculars. The field of view was noted at both 25x and 40x magnification. The observed image for each level of magnification is represented below.
Note: Even at this distance, the actual image in the binoculars was sharper and more defined than the digital photographs that are shown below.

We received the photos below from a customer in Hawaii. (Thanks Ron!) The photo on the left, taken from his residence (yes, we're a little envious too), shows the Oberwerk 25/40x100mm and the Norwegian Star in the distance. The photo on the right was made by simply holding his digital camera to one of the eyepieces. Note that even though heat waves are evident in the photo, great detail and even passengers can clearly be seen.
Here's a picture we took from our office (through a window), of a deer at 150 feet away. A Canon S400 digital camera was hand-held at one of the 25/40x100mm's 25x eyepieces. Click on the image for a larger view.
