Either these are the brightest 50mm binoculars I've ever looked thru or my eyesight is getting better. And I doubt that. For low light conditions they excell. With a wide FOV of 6.5 degrees, objects jump out at you. You can't do much more to a pair of binoculars short of electronically amplifying them. Besides the high quality optics, Oberwerk throws in water proof, shock proof, nitrogen charged, and full heavy duty armor. I mean heavy duty. They are constructed like an M1A1 battle tank. If they get knocked off the picnic table, I'd be more worried about breaking somebody's toe than damaging these things. If you're looking for an all purpose binocular, the Ultra 10x50 will take you from astro viewing to surveilance to the shooting range and make your friends jealous.
