Exceptional Value, February 10, 2010
Reviewer: Kelly from Snowmass, CO
I have a number of telescopes... but because I live high in
the Rockies... I don't get out that much... too cold and
didn't learn the sky as I should have and was advised at
the beginning of this hobby... solution? Binoculars and
these are worth every penny, a fantastic value. Yes they
are big but in 20 minutes I had seen several clusters that
I hadn't noticed before. Don't hesitate, buy them!

For my hobby they are very easy to focus, with excellent magnification which is one of the things I was looking for in the product. The size of the binoculars is no problem as they can be easily rested on a suitable surface.

If there is a more powerful version with such good quality I would like to see them.

Great for hand-held or tripod viewing!, August 13, 2009

I wanted astronomy binoculars light weight enough to handhold and still have power and the light-gathering capacity for great 3D field of view . At 4.6 pounds, the 20x80 standard is very easy to use, focus and scan. My daughter easily does so by holding them way out close to the objective lenses. They can also be mounted to a hvy duty tripod for that stable spacewalk view. The Pleiades and Hyades fit beautifully into the FOV. I was disappointed with the flimsy cloth case in which it came but overall, the quality and great viewing cancel that out. Very satisfied!
