Universal Astronomics T-Mount Light
The T-Mmount Light, from Universal Astronomics, is a hybrid- not quite a full parallelogram and not just an alt-az mount. Because the parallelogram is very short, the mount is extra rigid, and is a good choice for heavier binoculars, such as the Oberwerk 20x80 Deluxe and 22x100mm (as shown). The parallelogram provides just enough height adjustment to allow viewing from horizon to zenith without having to make tripod height adjustments. Comes standard with 4 lbs. of counterweight, which due to the short parallelgram and long counterweight shaft, handles binoculars up to 10 lbs. Two versions are available- a "Standard L adapter" model for binoculars that have tripod adapter threading on the front, and a "Bottom mount" model for binoculars that attach at the bottom. We recommend the Oberwerk Surveyor Tripod for use with this mount.
