Universal Astronomics Unimount Deluxe The Unimount series, from Universal Astronomics, are not inexpensive- but after using them, you'll agree that they're a bargain. These are simply the finest parallelogram-type mounts available. Notice that there are now six degrees of motion. Even with all those pivot points, there is virtually zero slop or backlash. While observing the night sky, it really is like the mount is not even there- the binoculars are magically floating in front of you, while you effortlessly point them in any direction. For the ultimate in comfort, try it with a reclining lawn chair. The six degrees of motion allow viewing almost the entire sky- without getting up! Comes with 10 lbs. of counterweight. Two mounting styles are available- an "L adapter" model for binoculars that have tripod adapter threading on the front, and a "Bottom mount" model for binoculars that attach at the bottom, such as the Oberwerk 20x90.
